This is honestly one of the best restaurants on malta. We had the set menu for 40€ per person and it was definitely worth it. I can highly recommend it to anyone spending their vacation there. Plus the service was amazing. After we had eaten, the waitress came and brought us some nougat and a Maltese liqueur.

La Maltija is a true gem for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Maltese and Mediterranean cuisine. It’s wonderful to see a place that keeps Maltese tradition alive, which is getting harder to find around. The starter sauces were incredibly tasty, and the traditional dishes were full of flavor and very appetizing. I highly recommend all tourists to stop by and experience genuine food here. Special thanks to Ester, a fantastic waitress who adds warmth and charm to the experience. Compliments for everything!

I had the pasta at La Maltija, and it was very good—fresh and nicely prepared. The flavors were enjoyable, and it felt like a hearty, home-style meal. What stood out just as much was the staff; they were extremely nice, welcoming, and made the experience even better. La Maltija is a solid spot for a good meal with great service.

Gorgeus. If you're visiting Malta, this amazing restaurant is a must. The food was exceptional — we had pasta with lobster, tender filet of beef in mushroom sauce, crispy rabbit croquettes, and focaccia with fresh tuna. Every bite was full of flavor and beautifully prepared. The service made the night even better. George and Ester, our waiters, were incredibly professional and gave us excellent recommendations that made the whole meal feel special. And JoJo, the barman, surprised us with a unique cocktail I’ve never tried before — it was absolutely delicious! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, surrounded by local art. We were lucky to attend a live painting demonstration by a talented female Maltese artist, whose beautiful sea-inspired works decorated the space. There’s also a peaceful green terrace tucked away — perfect for a relaxing drink or meal. Come for the food, stay for the vibe — this place is truly worth a visit!

We came back to this restaurant that we had enjoyed on our last visit 4 years ago. Back then it was one of our favorite meals of the holiday so we were worried when we found out it was under new management. It seemed impossible but this visit was better than the last. The food was fresh, perfectly prepared, and absolutely delicious. Our server Estelle just added to the experience by offering information about the dishes and their preparation as well as Maltese traditions. Highly, highly recommend visiting this place!

The food and the atmosphere were amazing. Mostly saw small groups there, but it was an incredibly pleasant experience solo as well. The staff was a pleasant mixture of professional and friendly. The appreciation of my country's Eurovision song ("Espresso Macchiato") made me feel right at home
